The
Logic800 was delivered ready configured with the correct software for
the IDE line and included a complete operator front panel allowing a
direct replacement with the original.
Following Logic’s recommendation, BCE’s own engineers
installed the new system, with Logic’s engineers on hand for final
commissioning and calibration.
The
Logic800 features a 12” TFT touch screen with full colour graphics
that allows access to all of the extrusion control functions, a system
which is designed to provide very quick machine setting.
The programming includes a range of safety features which protect
against any inadvertent actions, and which will prevent the operator
from entering values which may cause a dangerous condition.
Whilst
HW Systems opted for a system which controlled the temperatures and extrusion
machines, the Logic800 is fully upgradeable and can include direct
integration with both ultrasonic and laser gauges to give full control
over the product quality, with optional SPC analysis.
The
use of PC technology also allows for simple data transfer to the factory
PC network and Logic Machine Controls have their own Production
Management software, Logistic, to exploits this.
Logistic will automatically show the true product cost, including
labour, electricity, materials etc., and provide reports on cost
analysis, margins, machine efficiency, reject analysis and quality.
