Logician                       Process Management Software

Intended for laboratory and research use, Logician process management software will provide useful data on the process in a variety of formats.

Logician has a number of advanced features

Just like Logistic the production management version, Logician is an essential aid to the extrusion process. Additional features include;

Machine status

Logician shares many of the same features as Logistic including the status page. All the principle extrusion line data is displayed on your PC screen as it happens. 

All principle extrusion line operating parameters are displayed and updated in real time. Configure logistic to keep a watch on any important operating parameters, including screw speed, melt pressure, line speed, and temperatures.

The "Snapshot" facility captures process data associated with a

product sample.  "Snapshot can print a data report for attachment to the sample or save the data to a file on your computer.

Snapshot can be set to operate on an event, such as the end of a reel, at a given time, or to repeat at regular times, or manually when taking a sample.

 

 

 

 

Trending analysis looks at the historical data

over the required period. This is useful for identifying responses of the certain operating conditions due to changes in process conditions. An example would be examining how a change in melt temperature affects melt pressure.

Trending is available on all measured process conditions, and with five graphs displayed simultaneously it is possible to compare how changing one operating condition affects others.

Data for each

run can be stored on your PC's hard drive and organised like any other windows program.

 

Open a history file and the comparison facility of Logician will overlay previous run data onto the current graph. In this way it is possible to detect the consequences of a  change against a previous standard.

 

Data files can also be saved to CD's and floppy disks for easier file management.

Statistical data analysis is an essential tool and Logician

allows for both product (SQC) and the process (SPC). The user can choose to analyse data on all measured machine parameters, by simply choosing from a list.

Data from the parameter chosen is then displayed in a number of graphical formats including sigma, range and distribution charts. A host of other calculated values are displayed such as cp, cpk, max, min and many others.
