At the press of a button, barrel temperatures can be dropped down to a
holding point, and head zones switched to off. Replace the head; press a button,
and the head zones switch on and the barrel temperature set points return to
operating levels.

Protecting Man and Machine!
No more broken screws! A soak timer prevents the screw from starting until
the process temperature is reached and a soak time has been completed.
The possibility of pressure build up in the extruder during heating is removed
by a warming gradient, heating the zones from the outside to the centre.
The
Logic
800
will also prevent material degradation by
checking the rotation of the screw. If the screw is not started within a pre-set
time, the heat zones will automatically switch off, OR drop to a safe holding
temperature.

The Complete Solution
Logic 800
takes control of all machine functions
removing the need for individual temperature controllers. The functions are fast
and simple to access, whether auto-tuning or simply setting alarm and set
points.
Logic 800
can also monitor and control all downstream
machinery, providing status information or machine alarm conditions, or used as
a reference for single line speed control.

Easy
to use
Temperatures
are quickly set on one page with two alarm levels provided to warn the
operator that the temperature is outside the set point or approaching
a dangerous level.

Auto-Start Up
Set
the 24 hour, 7day auto timer to switch on the heaters prior to the
start of the
shift and the extruder is ready for use immediately.
Discreet
programs constantly monitor the machine to ensure that any
condition or machine fault that may occur does not prove dangerous.

Control
Production
Key
in the number of parts required in the production control box and the
Logic800
will countdown until the production run is complete. It
will also count up the number produced and predict the time to completion
of the batch. The operator can then plan ahead for the next tool change.
All
the information on this page can be printed, either on request or periodically.
Alternatively print on an adhesive label and on completion of a box or
reel, and just stick on the label for full production traceability

Really understand your production!
Logistic
will automatically
provide costings, production and product analysis, and real time data.
|
|
Ease of Use
Dedicated hot keys allow quick access to programs and operations. Drop down
windows give
access for change of memory or password level. Switch off all
barrel heaters or all head heaters independently.
The fast cool button will switch off all heat zones and switch on the cooling
fans, quickly reducing the machine temperatures, whilst a hold button will
reduce all zones down to the holding temperature.
When changing tooling, use the hold button to reduce the temperatures, and
press the head zone button to switch off the head heaters. Change the tooling,
press the head zone button and the hold button and the machine will return to
the set point.

Temperature
at a Glance
The
set point and actual temperatures are shown graphically, so any
deviation is immediately obvious.
The
scale can be adjusted so that temperatures can be monitored very
precisely.
Temperature
stability can be monitored via the trending graphs or SPC package with
display of both xbar and range (R) charts.

LogicX
The
Logic800
can now be used on almost any machine which needs an advanced control
system.
The
LogicX
software will allow anyone to program the Logic800
using the popular Windows VB program.

Memory
Storage
Once
the machine is set up to run a particular product all the processing
parameters can be stored in an internal memory. The stored
parameters include machine set up data, temperatures, safety programs
etc. To identify the program a name, tool and product code can be
entered.
The
saved program can be restored instantly, reducing set up times.
For similar products copy this program to make the next set up even
quicker.
