Super fast setup by entering data directly using the pop up keypad. Temperatures and other data is set using real values so setting is extremely fast. When the correct parameters are set the alarm levels and temperature profile can be locked, so changing a single zone set point will make a global change to all temperatures.

All extruder running parameters are set on this one page including two alarm levels for not just fro temperature but also for melt pressure, screw speed, and motor load. This gives an extremely high level of safety for both the operator and machine.

Two levels of alarm are provided;

  • The high and low limit will warn the operator when the temperatures are outside the process levels.

  • High and low alarms are safety limits which will cause the Logic800 to take action to avoid a possible machine failure.

In addition a holding point is provided to allow the barrel temperature to drop to below the material degradation point. This is useful during tool changes, significantly reducing warm up times. 

 

Similarly there limits can be applied to motor load, screw speed and perhaps more importantly the melt pressure.

This last feature is an important
